 Apollonia, the capital of Sifnos, is a beautiful village built amphitheatrically on the slopes of a hill, with view to the island and the sea. The traditional Cycladic architecture is the main feature of Apollonia and all villages of Sifnos, in general. Walk in the narrow paths, smell the flowers of the gardens, see the view from the higher spots, have a morning coffee and relax.
Then take the bus or drive to Plati Gialos, the most popular and known beach on Sifnos. It is located about 10 km south of Apollonia and on your way, you will see the beautiful village of Exambela. Plati Gialos is organized and has a lot of delicious fish taverns on the shore. The coast is sandy, the water is clean and the beach is surrounded by hotels and rooms to rent.
In the afternoon, go to Kastro, about 3 km from Apollonia. This is the most picturesque village of Sifnos and gives a great view of the sunset. Right at the entrance of the village, you will see the small chapel of Seven Martyrs, built on top of a rock by the sea.

On the second day, visit Artemonas, another traditional village of Sifnos about 2 km from Apollonia. The nature around Artemonas is pure and ideal for walks. Then continue to Herronisos, about 10 km north of Artemonas. This is a seaside village with a calm, sandy beach and nice fish taverns to enjoy local dishes.

1st and 2nd days as described above.
On the third day, you go to Vathi. This is a tourist village on the south western side of Sifnos, about 10 km from Apollonia. The sandy beach is surrounded by hotels, rooms to let and traditional taverns. On the way to Vathi, you will see the ruins of a medieval tower, but it slightly survives today.
