Sifnos School of Agios Tafos: The first Greek School of Sifnos, known as the School of Agios Tafos (Holy Grave), was located at the remarkable monastery of Agios Ioannis Chrissostomos according to Greek traditions. The School of Agios Tafos was later transferred to Kastro village, the capital of Sifnos as “Hellinomouseio", also known as the "Educational Institution of the Archipelago". Later this became the school of Agios Artemios in Apollonia.
The school of Agios Artemios in Apollonia was formerly known as Hellinomouseio. It was transferred to Apollonia, the capital of Sifnos, from Kastro. Before being transferred to Apollonia and called Hellinomouseio, it was known as the School of Agios Tafos and was situated at Kato Petali village.
