I believe Platis Gialos is the most popular place on Sifnos. You will see mnay young people there having a drink at the beach bars and most of them are very friendly and would easily have a chat with you. The village is not big but it has many gift stores and delicious taverns. I didn't see much watersports on Platis Gialos or sun beds. Better get your own umbrella. The beach is sandy and very clean, you will love it and next day, you will be back to Platis Gialos!
