Stay close to the port

We prefered to stay in Livadi on Serifos to be close to the port because we would stay only two days on the island. Chora is certainly more beautiful and picturesque, but Livadi had better accommodation. The centre of Livadi was certainly the waterfront. Everything was built around the narrow path of the waterfront and had beautiful views to the sea. The rest is typical of any Greek island: small taverns by the sea, fish food, blue and white colours everywhere, little vegetation. Bus from Livadi to Chora runs frequently but we prefered to hire a scooter to see the whole island. Best beaches are Livadi and Megalo Livadi. Except for the mines, there are no other sites to see on Serifos.
