 A fire lighted up this morning from unknown cause in one of the four engines of HighSpeed 5 (Hellenic Seaways) while it was sailing to the east of Kythnos island, Cyclades. The fire on this vessel, which had started its trips just the day before this incident, was controlled and put off by the crew, that acted quickly.
The 512 passengers were asked to get off at the port of Serifos island, where HighSpeed 4 will come to pick them up and continue the schedule. HighSpeed 5 had sailed early this monring from Piraeus and was travelling to Paros, Naxos, Ios and Santorini, as final destination.
