Regarding the best places where to practise water-sports, we cannot pass by the south-west district from Chora, the capital of the island, to Koutalas, one of its villages. The beautiful beaches found in this area are suitable for these types of activities and have very nice sights.
On the other hand, going southeast from Chora, the beach of Livadakia, near the port of Livadi can also be reached. This one allows various water-sports -such as snorkelling, water-skiing and paddle-boating- and counts on many convenient features, like a good number of tamarisk trees that provide shade from the sun, and it is also a location protected from the mentioned winds. |
