Santorini Sightseeing: The Santorini Megaron Gizi
It costs a couple of Euros to enter this museum housed in a very nice building. There are lots of documents from the Catholic Church and the maps of Santorini through the years are fascinating. There’s a variety of things to see here including various rocks such as pumice. The drawings of the eruption of 1866 are intriguing and the room dedicated to photos of the 1956 earthquake demands close attention. Upstairs is an exhibition of contemporary artists views of Santorini.

Our Impressions:
This is a good museum but perhaps not as essential as the Museum of Prehistoric Thira , Archaelogical or Folklore in Fira. Nevertheless it contains some interesting photos and is worth a visit if you are not too pressed for time.
