Santorini Wines: Canava Roussos

This is the oldest winery in Santorini Greece and is located near Kamari and very close to Panagia Epsikopi.
As you enter, past the vineyards there is a large open space for wine tasting with a bar at one end. It’s very pleasant in here with the colourful geraniums aiding the ambience. You can choose to test or enter the winery itself for a free unguided tour.
The winery is actually quite smallish but you can admire the barrels and also have a look at the tank where the grapes are crushed. Pictures illustrate the process. You can walk outside and up to the roof to enjoy the view.
