You never get bored of the views

The trip: We took the highspeed boat from Naxos. It was efficient + on time. An enjoyable trip. You must know that the highspeeds are more expensive but the have the great advantage to be quicker and on time... except if it is very windy.
Reasons for going to Santorini: Has heard that Santorini Island was the top island of Greece. Wanted to see it by myself after hearing so much about it and seeing so many pictrures of it.
Idea before arriving: Exactly like the many reviews I red about it and the many pictures... Was waiting for a fantastic scenery with contrasts between black cliffs/ white villagee / blue of the sea and sun.
Expectations and opinions: Yes, it met my expactations and even more... It is really an original island. Nothing to do with the other islands of the Cyclades. Not better but different and impressive. It has both the charming aspects if the Greek way of life but also the impressive beauty of nature. So you just go there, take a room with a view over the volcano and you just stay on your veranda all day watching the incredible scenery. I stayed one week there and didn't at any time get bored of the view!
Favorite thing about Santorini: The views of course, the sunsets, the hotel, the restaurants and the walks we had after the early dinner.
Negative opinion: It is very expensive! You need to have a golden visa to fully enjoy the place.
Recommendations: Have money and arrange accommodations many months before and take only one with views over the volcano!
Well actually I am not sure if I will come to Santorini again. It is a place that you must see at least once but I liked more the island of Naxos. More possibilities for excursions, less touristy, more authentic, unspoilt etc... Santorini is incredible but too touristy and too organised...
