Visit Santorini in low season

The trip: I arrived on Santorini Island by ferry. The trip was very very long but I enjoyed taking a sunbath surrounded by the sea.
Reasons for going to Santorini: As I have Greek root I go to Greece at least once a year. I have been to Santorini before and really liked this place.
Idea before arriving: The first time? Just that it was considered as one of the most beautiful places in Greece and I was sure to enjoy it.
Expectations and opinions: Yes, of course it met my expectations. It is a wonderful island with nice strange black beaches, fresh air and great sea food.
Favorite thing about Santorini: One of the moments I most enjoyed was the view of the sunset from Oia and more especialy from a little windmill turned into a cafe. It was a really great experience and a collective one as more than 500 persons were doing the same thing. I also loved the late afternoon walks in the picturesque alleys. Even if very touristy(compared to other islands) the area has kept its quitness and calm. I also loved taking my breakfast with a volcano in the background.
Negative opinion: Really nothing negative. Maybe that it is difficult to find carpark.
Recommendations: It is better to visit the island in low season. September and October. Maybe October is even better. The weather is still nice and it is much cheaper. September is still considered as high season. But only on this island.
I will propably go to Santorini Island again... and again... It is a great place for holidays. Not isolated at all and still possibilities to have a rest.
