Very spectacular but not my best

Santorini Review:

The trip: I arrived to the island of Santorini by ferry from Piraeus and it was very long. Next time if will take a highspeed one even if more expensive.
Reasons for going to Santorini: I have already visited many islands of the Cyclades and everybody was talking to me about Santorini as "the" place to see. So, I decided to stop snobing the touristy places and go and see.
Idea before arriving: I had seen many pictures of the island and the pictures looked really beautiful. But I was afraid of the prices and that the placed would be too crowded. Forunately I found a hotel room really cheap otherwise maybe I wouldn't go.
Expectations and opinions: It is a really amazing island. Definitely the most impressive of all the islands I have visited until then. It is really something to in villages perched in the sky. It was a really great experience and stayed there about 5 days. I loved it but was happy to live for a calmer island. The prices where very high and ate in snacks most of the time. The restaurants look amazing but was afraid to go. The place was also very crowded, mostly in the late afternoon and night. The streets were full of people. I didn't knew that I would ever see so many Americans without beeing in America.
Favorite thing about Santorini: The views! Everything there only about the views... and olso the charming villages.
Negative opinion: Really expensive. If you compare to an island life Sifnos for example. And the fact that it give an unpersonal ambiance. For example, on Sifnos, you feel very confortable after a couple of days as people start knowing you.. a familly ambiance. In Santorini it is more unpersonal. You just go, say wouaooo! and live.
Recommendations: Just must go to Santorini at least once to see it. It is spectacular.
No, I don't think I will go again there. Much too touristy fopr me. There are many places in Greece where I can find more calm and other beauties.
