Santorini was the most beautiful place I have visited and served to make our honeymoon absolutely amazing. Our favorite day included thed two of us and renting a 4-wheel vehicle to travel the island. We had the freedom to explore multiple beaches (Perissa was lovely) and off the beaten path tavernas.

Santorini Island offered the most incredible food of our 2 week journey in Spain and Greece. We stayed in a great hotel that recommended two great restaurants to us (Scirocco Hotel). We can't get enough Greek food and have even started making many dishes at home now ourselves.

Driving was treacherous. Local greeks were obviously angry at tourist drivers and we were incredibly intimidated by driving (though we found that much better than a scheduled tour as our bus was 45 minutes late and they did not make up time later). Absolutely build Santorini Island into your trip as it lives up to all expectations.
