My trip to Santorini was thoroughly satisfying, filled with unexpected pleasures. There were some of the most fantastic views I've seen. Sipping cocktails and watching the sunset over the caldera was magical. The food was also excellent. There was an excellent range of food outlets to suits all budgets. The food we ate was top quality in flavour (and we sampled one fine dining, one mid-range and the obligatory fast food offering of gyros). The only problem we faced was when we arrived at Athinios port. This could be a bit intimidating if we couldn't speak enough Greek to negotiate our transfer to the harbour. Other islands had clearly identifiable taxis with signposted taxi ranks. Santorini shouldn't rely on local drivers touting for money by driving tourists around.
