In Santorini, we loved Oia. We also enjoyed the towns of Fira, Firastefani, Imerovigli. we loved staying in Imerovigli, it's a hike to Fira, but you are away from all of the activity yet close enough to enjoy it. Ancient Thira was worth the hike and we hiked down via a small church that is in a cliff. We discovered the almost deserted town of Emborio, amazing. We also just enjoyed sitting on our deck looking out over the caldera.
We enjoyed one of the smaller beaches in
Santorini. At the top of the hill, there was a taverna that has no electricity. They cooked everything in an outdoor oven, fabulous amd so unique in our days!! The only thing that bothered me were the maltreated animals. I wish there were not so many homeless animals. I know that steps are being taken for spaying and neutering, this is a good thing.
