I read a previous review from someone who had been to Santorini and had a bad experience with food and hotel operators. This prompted me to write a review.
Clearly, the person who wrote the review did not see much of the island or stay very long. It is unfortunate he had such a bad experience with the people and hotel staff. It's apparent to me these facts are true since the reviewer wrote he didn't even visit a beach! How can you go to
Santorini and not visit a beach??? There are RED, BLACK AND WHITE beachers there! And so many other wonderful things to do. I could take hours and hours and explain my trips to Santorini but I really just want to make a couple simple but important points:
FOOD: the food is as diverse as is the scenery/ land and people. There is 5 star-french cuisine to pizza! I reccommed going to Oia and trying the restaurant Ambrosia and Nectar! Owned by an American turned Greek.
HOTEL OPERATOR/ FRIENDLYNESS OF PEOPLE: was amazing everywhere we went from Athens to cities within the mainland to the islands! The Greeks are such friendly and helpful, happy people! Especially for dealing with tourtists all day! Occasionally you will come across a rotten teen or a grouchy old man but for the most part everyone bends backwards to make your trip heavenly!
Santorini is one of the closest places I know to what a slice of heaven is like! We go back as often as we can!
