Santorini looked even more beautiful than what it had looked in all the travel brochures. The landscape was one of a kind, truly amazing. We stayed at the Princess Hotel in Imerovigli. This village is just 2 km from the capital Fira and is actually an extended portion of the capital town. The village is on a higher level than Fira, overlooking the gigantic caldera. Our room had a caldera facing view. It was simply breathtaking. From our balcony, each day we used to watch the cruise ships and private yachts coming and going. The sunrise and sunset views can't be described in words. They were spectacular. The hotel staff was very nice and pleasant. They helped us a lot when it came to go on an excursion trip. The sunset at Oia was exceptionally romantic. We are planning to go again to
Santorini next year but probably in a cruise to see more islands.
