The trip: We took the ferry from the port of Piraeus. The trip was good but the staff of the agency who sold us the tickeks were very unfriendly.

Reasons for going to Santorini: It is a famous island of Greece and wanted to see it. We had seen a lot of pictures of the place and it looked really like a place to see. Also red many reviews and everybody were happy about their trip.

Idea before arriving: That it would have beautiful and traditional villages surrounded by volcano's landscapes and offering incredible views.

Expectations and opinions: Yes, it met our expactations. The villages are really something amazing. Really nice walks offered with incredible views. Sometimes hundreds of steps. The beaches are nice. Black sand for most of them. Never saw that before so it was a nice experience. The water was very cold and deep. We tried many restaurants and there were very good.

We had a room in Perissa which is a beach resort and nothing to do we the cute traditional village. But is was ok. Santorini has a really good bus organisation and it was very easy to get arround. The main town, Fira, was very busy.

Favorite thing about Santorini: The good weather and the villages. We were waiting for month for sun!

Negative opinion: Many cars! and waste. The food in restaurants is very expensive.

Recommendations: It is a great experience but expensive one.

Yes, maybe we will go to Santorini Island again. But it will depend of the mood. Maybe next time that we will return to Greece we will choose some island less touristy. I heard of the island of Milos...
