Santorini was the most incredibly beautiful place that my wife and I have ever seen. The view of the caldera is just incredible. The walking trail from Imeroviglia to Oia was very nice to see the island in a more natural setting. Oia and Fira are wonderul but you need to like crowds. Imeroviglia is quieter and very romantic, a nice place to accommodate. There are luxurious hotels with outdoor jacuzzi to small rooms to rent there and this village is far quiter than other places on Santorini.
Nightlife was lounge and far few noisy places. We did not do the bar scene a lot, we went only to a couple of cafeterias and slept early to have the whole day and see the island. Just do as much as you can to see the entire island. Beaches are different from the other Greek islands, they have a dark rocky coastline, almost no sand and water is warm, probably due to the volcano. Kamari is a bit dirty. Prefer Perissa or Perivolos. We also toured the oldest winery and traveled to ruins, a very interesting and delightful experience.
