Good points
Santorini was amazing! The town of Oia was a highlight of my travels through the Greek Isles, and has taken the place of my favorite destination on earth. The Greek hospitality and spectacular scenery I encountered throughout my travels in the Cyclades made this my most enjoyable vacation ever. I cannot wait to return. Every aspect of Santorini was phenomenal. The sunsets in Oia, the beaches of Perissa, the wineries in Megalachori, and the dining in Fira were all the best in the world. And the graciousness of the locals throughout the island exemplified the ambiance.
Bad points
Taxi service from the airport should be better regulated, and bus service from the airport more frequent. The port was also very disorganized and difficult to get to. Licensing requirements for scooter rentals were difficult and inconsistent (some agencies required intl licenses, some didn't), a valid stateside drivers license should suffice for a scooter rental on the island.
