The whole Island is rich with history, I felt it deeply. I loved Fira, it was so beautiful. Walking around there at night and shopping, all the stores was great. Oia was certainly more traditional than Fira and the sunset was also better. It is a shame that I didn't know about Santorini until a friend suggested to go there. Beaches were also nice lovely. I liked Kamari and Red beach. I didn't know we'd be taking a little fishing boat to get to it. The tour to the volcano was also perfect. Imagine, I was walking on top of a volcano. The guide told us not to throw any rocks in the craters because the volcano was still active! Another thing I loved was the wine, especially made from the volcanic soil of Santorini, that is probably why it has a sweet and bitter taste. I bought some excellent bottles of wine from Santorini to bring them as gifts for family. They all loved it. I am sad that I can't find any of these bottles here, I think the producers should really export them in all the world.
