Better stay in Perissa

Santorini as an island is breathtaking, but I would definitely not stay in Fira or Firostefani. I stayed in Perissa, which is a short and easy bus ride to the hustle and bustle of Fira, but it's quiet with a gorgeous beach and lovely restaurants. Some of the best food I had in the whole of Greece were in those restaurants. Be sure to check out all the spots along the beach boardwalk in Perissa. The only thing that goes wrong on Santorini are the buses, which should be more frequent. The crowd waiting to take the bus from Oia back to Fira was immense and the buses weren't frequent enough to alleviate the overflow.
