The Trip: I arrived on Santorini island by plane with the Aegean Airlines. The trip was good with delays. It took almost as long to retrieve our luggage at the airport as it did to fly from Athens
Reasons for going to Santorini: Everyone I know that has visited Santorini has raved about it and my son chose Santorini as his wedding site.
Idea about Santorini before arriving: I had a fairly good idea of what to expect as I had researched Santorini both on the internet and talking to previous visitors spectacular in many ways
Favorite things about Santorini island:
-Best Villages: Firostefani, good location away from main nightlife but good local restaurants
-Best Activity: The views and the sunsets are unforgettable
More: My wife and I have always wanted to visit Santorini after seeing it on Travel shows and speaking to friends who had visited. We weren't disappointed !!!! it was everything we had hoped for and more. We loved the hotel where we stayed for 5 nights and George the Manager couldn't have been more helpful. The location of Firostefani is ideal as you are centrally located and it is not as "busy" as Fira. It was fantastic to sit on our own terrace overlooking an incredible view and just "relax.........We would definitely return to Santorini
Negative opinion about the island:
Teach dog owners to clear up after their pets!!
Recommendations for future visitors
Be prepared for a fantastic experience take good walking shoes and be prepared to walk up some steep hills
