An island with character & crazy taxi drivers

The trip: My trip to the island of Santorini was fine but very long. 10-12 hours cause no direct charter flights.
Reasons for going to Santorini: Simply because I am in love with Greece and more especially with Santorini Island (for more than 20 years)
Idea before arriving: As I am going regulary on the island I knew that it would fullfill my expectations. I know everything about this island and love it. I just hoped that it hadn't become over touristy.
Expectations and opinions: Yes, the island met my expectations, that is for sure. It is always a beautiful island and will always be. It is so impressive and has a landscape so different than what we are used to know. With character. It is really an unique experience. The landscapes is really impressive with these villages perched on the top of cliffs.
Favorite thing about Santorini: I love the village of Ioa. It is really charming and offers a great sunset. It is a great experience to have a dinner with good wine in company with the sunset. Great!
The people are always friendly and helpfull. They make you feel as if you would belong to their family.
Negative opinion: Actually I like it all. Except maybe taxi drivers that could be friendlier, nicer and should learn to drive more carefully. I took the many times the cab between Fira and Oia. It is a very dangerous road and I was really scared that we would crash.
Recommendations: It is simply a must to come to Santorini. Maybe you can associate it with a trip to Mykonos.
Yes, I will go back to Santorini for sure.
