Wonderful but disapointed by beaches

The trip: I arrived on Santorini Island by airplane and the trip was fine and comfortable. No delay.
Reasons for going to Santorini: Heard that Greece is a beautiful place to visit and that Santorini was the top destination. Heard that the island was voted in the top 10 world wide holiday destinations.
Idea before arriving: I had a general idea from pictures I saw on the internet. It looked really impressive and beautiful.
Expectations and opinions: It met my expectations and more. I was just disapointed by the beaches. Nothing really exceptional. But in general it is a wonderful island.
Favorite thing about Santorini: The views, especially from my hotels' room. I spend hour relaxing on my veranda.
Negative opinion: The service at restaurants tended to be slow. Also so many steps to get to places!!! but that is all the charm, isn't it? After a week of Santorini steps you become a high level sportman.
Recommendations: Make sure to bring binoculars!
I will maybe go back again. I really had great time but let's go to the other 9 other top destinations!
