Very pleasant experience even if too touristy

The trip: I arrived on Santorini island via plane. I was a very pleasant trip with a good crew and no delays.
Reasons for going to Santorini: We hear much about Greece lately (Olympics, football, Eurovision, etc) and wanted to go there for holidays. Santorini Island was recommended by a friend and he told me it was one of the nicest places he had ever visited and that Santorini had been voted by the "Travel and Leisure Magazine" as the second top destination in the world!
Idea before arriving: I thought that Santorini was a small and picturesque island with villages on top of cliffs. I have seen many many pictures on the web and it really looked amazing.
Expectations and opinions: It definitely met my expectations. It is a wonderful island with incredible villages. I think that villages are the main interest there. I met some people that didn't go to the beach neither once by curiosity. Everything is about the villages.
Favorite thing about Santorini: The walks and shootings in the villages. The most beautiful village was Megalohori for me. It is very picturesque and I really enjoyed taking some shots there. It is very authentic, in contrast with the other villages, too much touristy.
Negative opinion: The villages are too touristy. It seems that everything here is for the tourist. But it is not that bad as it does not influence the beauty of the area. And the people are very friendly and not agressive at all.
Recommendations: No much too recommended as everything is wonderful. Just come to Santorini. There is no way you will be disapointed. And bring some binoculars. The views are unique from there.
I will definitely go to Santorini again. It was a very beautiful and pleasant experience.
