The trip: I arrived on the island of Santorini Greece by plane. The trip was nice and without any delay.
Reasons for going to Santorini: I love this island. I have visited Santorini Island many times before. It is the jewel of the Aegean.
Idea before arriving: The first time I came was a great experience. I didn't have any idea of what the island was looking. I arrived on the early morning by ferry and was confronted to this scpectacular cliffs. I was supposed to stay only one night and then go to Crete but decided to stay longer.
Expectations and opinions: It met my expectations and looks like it will always do.
Favorite thing about Santorini: The landscapes, the views over the volcano, the villages and more especially the village of Oia, the friendly people, the weather and climate, etc etc etc
Negative opinion: The island had became very popular and attracts much more people than few years ago. This is not bad as it ameliorates the quality of life of the inhabitants but there are consequences. One is for example that there are many motorbikes and it is very difficult to find parking area free.
Recommendations: Just go to Santorini and there is no possibility you won't enjoy it!
I will definitely get back there. I have been coming for years now. The best thing is to relate the trip to Santorini island with an other island of the Aegean. If you are in mood for cosmopolitan atmosphere there is Mykonos otherwise there are many islands that offer tranquility and peacefulness!
