Santorini Review:
I was in Santorini a few weeks ago and loved everything about it. I knew that the island was amazing but it was a lot better than my expectations.

Everything started when we were landing on the island. It looked amazing. Everything was starting good.

The island itself is incredible. Never saw that kind of landscapes in my entire life and as I live in Belgium it is a little hard for me to face that kind of landscapes.

I had a room in a hotel of Fira, the capital of the island. The hotel was ok considering my low budget but anyway I spent my time there only for sleeping.

I think I have visited everything there. I rented a bike and I discovered the entire island.
I enjoyed much the beach of Perivolos and spent much of my time walking in the alleys of the traditional villages (Fira, Firostefani, Imerovigli and Ia). Busy alleys. Much tourists doing the same thing as me. I was very disappointed from that point of view.

These villages are all perched on huge cliffs and I really enjoyed having this breathtaking view all the time.

I went once in Oia to see the famous sunset (considered to offer one of the most beautiful sunset in the world as local people told us). We went on the Kastro spot and saw that at least a hundred people were there for the daily appointment. I was a little disappointed cause my wife and I wanted a romantic evening?

Except from the people I felt in love with this island. I spent much but never mind. It is the kind of destination that you cannot miss so? extra work for me now.

I hope I will have the opportunity to go there again but this time I will definitely try to avoid the peak seasons.
