Reviews about Santorini, Cyclades, Greece |
Good points
Santorini was amazing! The town of Oia was a highlight of my travels through the Greek Isles, and has taken the place of my favorite destination on earth. The Greek hospitality and spectacular scenery I encountered throughout my travels in the Cyclades made this my most enjoyable... More >

The Greek Islands have always been known for its fascinating natural beauty. While we were planning our trip to Santorini, I saw a lot of photographs and read a lot of reviews about this island, but what I saw there really hit me. Reaching the island by ferry was the first impressing view: the trip... More >

Santorini is a very nice island, with small pitoresque villages, wonderfull beaches and few interesting historical sites. Beaches are really interesting and I found a lot of lonely places where you can enjoy in peace and silence. Sometimes I was surprised with undisturbed and untouched views, no... More >
Mass tourism hasn't managd to spoil the stunning natural beauty of Santorini. The sympathetic development of Oia in particular has created a world class tourist spot.
All villages of Santorini are nice to see, although beaches are not great. The most famous beach is Red beach but I personally... More >
Most beaches on Santorini were nice, clean and not too crowded, except Kamari which was OK but had too many people. Villages were interesting, with nice houses. Everything on Santorini was blue and white. A quite peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. I appreciated especially the landscapes and the... More >

It was a gorgeous "mini-cruise" to travel to Santorini island. The 3pm arrival at Santorini was breathtaking- deep... More >

We found the flight times from Athens to Santorini inconvenient. There were early morning and late night flights to and from the island from Athens. As we came from London, we had long transit times in Athens airport. It would be much better to have good air routes with minimum transit times in... More >

Everything on Santorini was fantastic! I had no problem with anything or anyone. Except maybe some bad professionals that try to overcharge you, but this happens in all the world, believe me. Villages were very pretty and so tiny. When you get back to your big town, this is what you miss the most... More >
Megalochori was the quietest village we visited in Santorini. We had a very enjoyable time there and we tried tomato balls in a local tavern. I didn't like them but my husband found them tasty. Food is definetly not cheap in Santorini, but normaly tasty. Only one tavern served chicken that was gone... More >
The whole Island is rich with history, I felt it deeply. I loved Fira, it was so beautiful. Walking around there at night and shopping, all the stores was great. Oia was certainly more traditional than Fira and the sunset was also better. It is a shame that I didn't know about Santorini until a... More >
