For the 11th year, the Women's Association of
Santorini and the Municipality of Thera organizes a two-day voluntary cleaning of the island's beaches. Employees of the municipality, students of primary and secondary schools as well as volunteers from all over the island will take part to show in practice their love for the environment.
In particular, on Saturday 28th March, the beach of Monolithos will be cleaned from the traces that the sea has washen-ashore during the winter. The municipality of Thera will take care of the transportation of the volunteers from Fira to Monolithos. On Sunday, March 29th, the volunteers will clean the site around the prehistoric town of Akrotiri, Perivolos beach and Kamari beach. For more information and to take part, call (+30) 22860 33176.
