The Cinema Club of
Santorini is starting its screenings in a few days. The program of 2008-09 has not been competed yet but the presentation of some new movies has been announced. The second cycle of the program will be announced after Chirstmas. The screenings of the Santorini Cinema Club will be done, like every year, in the amphitheatre of the Boutari Winery, in Megalochori. The ticket is 7 euros for the spectators and 5 euros for the members.

The Edge of Heaven by Fatih Akin
A film about love and death, political dilemmas and the need of all people to get over the mistakes of their parents and move forward. When Nejat's stepmother is killed in Berlin, he starts looking for her daughter, Ayten, a political activist arrested by the Turkish police. The film has been awarded at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival.
