The island of Santorini was the lovely backdrop for the 16th European Meeting of the Paleopathology Association held from August 28th to September 1st, 2006. Paleopathology is the study of ancient diseases so that scientists can get an understanding of the history of some diseases and enabling them to make predictions on their future course. The Meeting of the Paleopathology Association was held at Petros Nomikos Conference Center, in the village of Fira.
