Wave Sports in Santorini
In operation since 1994, the Wave Water Sports is located on the beautiful beach of Perivolos in Santorini, the southernmost island of the Cyclades. The center also has an annexe at Perissa Beach, which together with the one at Perivolos, makes a splendid 4 km-long stretch of black sandy beach from where you can enjoy a wide range of aqua sports that the club offers. A team of professional and licensed staff are there to supervise the area, provide instruction and take care of safety issues. The club offers a variety of extreme sports as well as fun rides.
One of the most popular sports is parasailing using a special parasailing boat. Nothing can quite match the exhilaration of taking off a boat to soar to over 100 meters above the sea to catch some of the most amazing views of the volcanic island. Sailing may be done solo or in groups of up to 3 people. Parasailing in the evening is particularly popular as it lets you enjoy the famous sunsets of Santorini. The club also owns the latest models of jet-ski and wave runner boats, for use up to 3 people. Licensed instructors at the club teach beginners the basics of water skiing and two specialized ski-boats are provided for mono-ski, double-ski and slalom-ski. Another equally thrilling and challenging sea sport is the wakeboard.
The wave sports offer high-performance boards to help you stage your aerial show and this sport is particularly popular among youngsters. Fly fish is another adrenaline-shooting sport that is offered at the wave sports. There are loads of fun sports, too, that are perfect for children and groups: banana rides and tube ringos, canoeing or kayaking and sea bicycles.
The same company has another watersports centre in Agios Georgios beach, also at the southern side of Santorini.
