Papagalos in Santorini
Papagalos restaurant was established in 1987, in the village of Oia, a settlement sitting high up on a cliff on the northern tip of Santorini and famous for its magnificent views of the volcanic caldera, the Aegean Sea and the sunset.
Voted among the top 50 Greek restaurants by various travel magazines, Papagalos Restaurant focuses on using organic ingredients and fresh local produce to create varied menus based on the New Greek cuisine. The restaurant has redefined contemporary Greek cuisine and some of its signature dishes include traditional classics, such as the lamb chops with crispy vine leaves served with tzatziki sauce or the baby spinach and haloumi salad. Papagalos also offers an assortment of interesting appetizers, such as the dolmas, grilled squid and smoked anchovies, while the main course comprises stuffed chicken, lamb shank, steaks and other fish-based dishes.
Yoghurt and honey mousse, Greek coffee panna kotta, chocolate mousse are some of the popular items on the dessert menu of Papagalos and the cuisine is continually evolving, keeping in mind modern tastes and growing preferences.

Papagalos uses meat of animals fed on grass and reared without hormones or antibiotics, and the restaurant has its own recycling and composting program in place. All their cleaning agents are biodegradable and all paper products are recyclable and unbleached.
