General Information:
Nikolas Restaurant is located just a little way up from the main square in Fira. Run by two elderly Greek gentlemen, the restaurant caters to the taste of the locals and its menu, which includes a wide choice of classic Greek dishes, focuses mainly on preserving the traditions of Greek cuisine. The staff is conversant in English and well trained to offer explanations and to recommend dishes if required. Service is quick and efficient.
Popular dishes that come out top are: the lamb with greens in egg-lemon sauce, moussaka, stuffed cabbage leaves, veal with tomato sauce, beef stifado and tomato meat balls. They also serve some lovely bread and some tasty salads such as stuffed peppers and Greek salads. The wine list includes popular house wines, both red and white. The restaurant opens daily for lunch and dinner.
