General Information:
Ellis Restaurant is located in Fira and has two dining areas on two levels. The dining area on the terrace overhangs the caldera and offers a fabulous dining experience. The extensive menu is centered on traditional Greek and Mediterranean cuisine and it is accompanied by an excellent house wine.
The restaurant has a great ambience and large glass windows that can be closed when it gets too windy in the evenings, without cutting off the great sunset views.
Some of the popular items on the menu include the traditional moussaka (a baked Greek dish consisting of ground lamb or beef layered with sliced eggplant and topped with cheese sauce), fresh salad, grilled octopus, a variety of traditional seafood dishes, Italian style mussels and an eggplant appetizer. Pannacotta is a popular dessert at the Ellis, as also is the chocolate molten cake. These are best washed down with their dessert wine or classic liqueurs like the lemon Grand Marnier.
There is a well-stocked bar at Ellis that offers many popular Greek and international brands.
