Casablanca Lounge in Santorini
The Casablanca Lounge Restaurant is located at the highest point of Fira, near the cable car station and just across the Church of Agios Stylianos. With stunning views of the Aegean and an impressive decoration, the restaurant offers options for both indoor and terrace dining.
Terracotta figurines and beautiful plants lend a classy ambience to the dining area and the terrace has a small pool set amidst earthen pots and green plants overhanging a lattice ceiling. The outdoor lounge is splashed with brightly colored bougainvilleas. The diverse menu includes a fine selection of dishes from both Mediterranean and international cuisine, and the wine list is exhaustive with some of the finest Santorinian wines on offer.
At the Casablanca, a typical meal includes starters like the eggplant or roe salad; stuffed peppers or wine leaves; giant beans or the carpaccio, which is thinly sliced meat or fish. The cheese platter has feta, manouri, kefalotiri and graviera. For the main course, the Casablanca offers grilled lamb or grilled seafood (calamari, shrimps and octopus), veal stew or veal cooked in tomato sauce.
