Finikias Place in Santorini
Finikia’s Place is a restaurant attached to a traditional family-run hotel run by the Andreadis family for the last two decades. The hotel is located in the northern part of Santorini, on top of the pictureque settlement of Finikia, a small village just outside the beautiful town of Oia.
Built in traditional Cycladic architecture, this white washed stone building has 24 guest rooms, and each room has a terrace which offers panoramic view of the Aegean Sea and the famous Santorini sunsets.
The restaurant is popular with both guests who stay at the Finikia’s Place as well as locals and tourists who stay in and around Santorini. The restaurant has a delightful ambience with a Greek style decoration and offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor area has a romantic setting with candle light, soft music and splashes of greenery everywhere, while the outdoor area affords breathtaking view of the sea and the sun.
The terrace can get quite windy on some days. The owner and chef Theodore Andreadis offers a unique combination menu comprising mainly of Greek and Mediterranean cuisine.
One of the best things about Finikia is that the chef whips up some highly innovative dishes that are quite a pleasant change from the regular Greek fare that is offered at most restaurants in the area. The highlights at the Finikia are the pan-seared salmon with potatoes and endives. Then, there is the popular appetizer of baked mushrooms stuffed with sausage and Greek cheeses, as well as a variety of kebabs served with a variety of dips.
The restaurant also caters to wedding receptions and special events.
