Murphy (O'Murchadha - meaning strong or superior) a popular Irish surname, traces its origin from Milesius, King of Spain through the line of his grandson Hermon, the first absolute King of Ireland in 504 BC. Later anglicised to O'Murchoe the modern Irish interpretation of the name Murphy is O'Murchu.
As you enter Murphy's original large stoned walls, tou realise its old-world charm, authenticity and simplicity... If you want a back home bar, you're not going to get it here. Totally rip off with no care, no expertise and the audacity to charge 600% more for a Greek beer you can get next door for 1 euro.
