LITHIES TRADITIONAL HOMES Nestled in scenic Firostefani, at 1400 ft above sea level, the Lithiés homes, owned by the Skarpathiotis Family, are spacious grottos that preserve the unique local architecture of the island with their barrel-vaulted ceilings, white stucco walls, wrought-iron beds and country walnut sofas, and feature first class amenities to provide guests with ample convenience. Bordering the edge of a blue-tiled swimming pool is a generous terrace that links all three homes and offers sweeping views of the caldera and the volcano. Each home may accommodate up to six guests; larger parties may rent multiple homes to enjoy a piece of the island exclusively by themselves! The homes have been custom decorated by Anita Skarpathiotis, who is an art historian. Accommodation Each home includes one double bed; two sofa beds that allow guests to customize the room to fit their needs; fully equipped kitchen and dining area; marble bath with Jacuzzi; free high speed, wireless internet; laundry facilities; and patio with table & chairs. Hand-woven draperies, stripped cotton comforters, soft cozy throw pillows, and unique artwork by local artists add to the warm and intimate setting. • Zephyr The largest of all three homes, Zephyr, has one bedroom with a double bed and ample closet space; a private all-marble bath with Jacuzzi; a living space with two sofa beds and a large dining area; a fully equipped kitchen space with a breakfast area and a laundry unit; and a second bath that includes a toilet, sink, and standing shower. Specially designed draped windows and doors allow guests to close the bedroom for more privacy. Room occupancy provides for up to six guests. • Iris The middle home, Iris, has one bedroom with a double bed, closet space, and a private marble bath with Jacuzzi; a living space with two sofa beds and a dining area; a fully equipped kitchen area; and a second bath with a toilet, sink, and standing shower. Specially designed draped windows and doors allow guests to close the bedroom for more privacy. Room occupancy provides for up to six guests. • Eros The smallest and most picturesque home, dedicated to god Eros, has a quaint charm that incorporates distinctive features of Greek indigenous wedding motifs so that it may be transformed into a honeymoon suite with definitive Greek flavor. It has one bedroom with a double bed and closet space; one all-marble bath with Jacuzzi; a living space with one sofa bed and a dining area; and a fully equipped kitchen area.
