Karterados is a perfect base for exploring the whole of the Island as it is close to Fira, without being in the town - much more relaxing, central for all the sights and a delightful village with great local restaurants and amenities.
Maistros Village is a lovely, family owned hotel where nothing is too much trouble and the host is thoughtful, kind and helpful including meeting us from the ferry and organising our car hire (from the hire company in Karterados, very good value). The rooms were large and airy, clean and comfortable with balconies overlooking the view of the sea. The pool was beautiful and inviting.
We would have loved to have had longer and look forward to returning one day.

One of the best hotels ever seen for the services provided. We were glad to see that the owners of the hotel Mr Nikolas and Mrs Evangelia have hugged us with their hospitality and smile every day. We recommend this hotel to any one coming to Santorini, since it is not just the premises, but also the people that surround this hotel that makes this hotel the best recommendation.

I spent 7 nights in maistros village with my boyfriend, and we had a very pleasant stay. Nikos is very helpful, the hotel is beautiful and in a great location: quiet, but not too far from everything you need. The room is spacious, beautiful..i would certainly recommend this hotel to everyone!

I stayed at Maistros Village in June, having also had the pleasure of staying there a couple of years ago. If you are looking for a beautiful, relaxed, spotlessly clean place to stay that's close to the capital but not right in the middle of the action, then this is DEFINITELY the place to go. Nikos is a fantastic host, really helpful and always pleasant. I will definitely be back.
