Paros Marpissa

General information

Marpissa in Paros stands on the hill of Kefalos, just above Piso Livadi, 18 km southeast of Parikia. Built amphitheatrically around the hill, Marpissa is a traditional Cycladic village with whitewashed cubic houses, standing among narrow streets, churches and windmills.

Marpissa is one of the few authentic villages of Paros and the fact that it doesn't offer a lot of accommodation is a constitutive element of its incredible charm and unspoiled beauty.

Regarding points of interest, the ruins of an old castle and the Monastery of Agios Antonios (Monastery of Saint Antoine) can be found on the top of the hill of Kefalos. In addition, the settlement hosts the Nikos Perantinos Sculpture Museum as well as a Byzantine Art Museum

The village lies nearby the waterfront and is close to the beaches of Golden Beach and Logaras among others.
