Paros Surf Club in Paros
Established in 1984, Paros Surf Club on New Golden Beach played host to the PWA (Professional Windsurfing Association) World Cup in Greece from 1992 to 2000. The annual event on New Golden Beach turned the club into one of the hottest windsurfing destinations in Greece. Nikos Papanikolaou, the Station Manager of the club and his team of experienced windsurfers who are extremely knowledgeable about the beach and its environs, offer top class professional coaching to both beginners and advanced surfers.
The staff is conversant in English, French and German and provides qualified lessons to young and old surfing enthusiasts.
The kite boarding school is a fully registered and insured IKO (International Kite boarding Organization) school, and also offers tailored training packages to suit your vacation needs. In addition to the standard courses, special and private packages based on personal instruction are also available at the center.
Well equipped with the most modern equipments, the windsurfing station in Paros rents out windsurfing boards and sails of top brands, including Roberto Ricci Design, Ezzy and Gaastra, and in fact, the center has also been named a RRD Pro-Center. The storage facility at the Paros Surf Club offers fresh water for equipment everyday, a safe all-night storage, and air compressors to pump the kites. The rescue service at the center comprises a highly experienced team which employs wave runner Jet Skis from Yamaha or an open water inflatable boat for their rescue operations.
