Paros Windsurfing

The island of Paros Greece is world known for windsurfing and kitesurfing and is considered by many as one of the best spots in the Greek islands.
Paros island, as most of the islands in the Cyclades, offers ideal weather conditions with the blessing of the Meltemi in the summer months (the local Cycladic wind).
For that reasons, Paros was chosen by the PWA (Professional Windsurfers Association) and each year, since 1993, the beach of New Golden Beach welcomes the World Cup.

Type: Windsurfing Established in 1984, Paros Surf Club on New Golden Beach played host to the PWA (Professional Windsurfing Association) World Cup in Greece from 1992 to 2000.
