Naxos Events

The 7th Naxos Tournament has started yesterday and it will last till the 13th of August, at the Cultural Center of Apiranthos, Naxos. It is a local tournament, where every chess fan can take part in it.

There will be two categories, one for children up to 16 years old and one for over 17. The fee is 5 euro for the adults and free for the children.

A Swiss system of 5 or 6 rounds will be applied, with thinking time 1 hour and 30 minutes. One game per day is foreseen, in the afternoons, while there will be awards for the winners as well as souvenirs (such as books, games, chessboards) for all the participants. On August the 13th the ending ceremony will take place with many events, such as quick chess tournaments and projections.
