The Archaeological Museum

The Archaeological Museum of Naxos Greece is situated in the capital of the island, in the area of Kastro (castle); it is housed in a superb 17th century Venetian building which was a Jesuit School of Commerce and had been declared to be a historical monument.

The Geological Museum

The Geological Museum is the third museum of the village of Apiranthos and houses a rich collection of more than 2000 rare specimens. The Geological Museum of Naxos is considered and recognized to be one of the most interesting museum of this kind in Greece.

The Archaeological Museum of Apiranthos

Located in the picturesque village of Apiranthos, the musem houses a collection of finds brought to light by various archaeological excavations which are coming from different areas of Naxos island.

This really interesting museum exposes a collection of objects and art works dating back to the late Neolithic period until the early Christian times.

The Venetian Museum

The Venetian Museum is located in the Town of Naxos in an 800 year old house belonging to the Della- Rocca family.

The Folk Art Museum

Also located in the village of Apiranthos, the Folk Art Museum houses a representation and reconstitution of the interior of a traditional house exactly like it was in the 18th century.

The Mitropolis Museum

The Mitropolis Museum is found in Chora village and it contains exhitins from settlements on the island in the Mycenaean and Geometric Era.

Some of the finds exhibited are marble and clay vases dating from the Early Cycladic period, marble figurine, bronze and stone tools, vessels and much more.

Vallindra Distillery

Vallindras is a distillery in the town of Halki. It was established in 1896 and in still run by the same family. The distillery has a museum.
