 Kouros Statue: These remarkable statues can be seen at Melanes and Apollonas. They are conspicuous by their larger-than-life features and consist of incomplete statues of young men, predestined to hold on to a temple roof but were decidedly abandoned by the ancient sculptors due to faults in the marble that were discovered. In order to get to the Kouros statues in Melanes, all you need to do is pursue the road that goes all the way to Kinidaros and upon reaching Kinidaros take a right turn which is noticeable at the roadside signboard.
