The Church of Agios Mamas is famous for its fine cross,
sculptures and murals and is dedicated to Agios Mamas,
patron of the shepherds.

it is so old, it is believed that this church once housed
the Orthodox cathedral before the Venetian occupation
(1207). Visitor can found this interesting and beautiful church
behind the village of Potamia.

The Monastery of Agios Ioannis Chryssostomos (Saint John
the Golden Mouth) is located on the mountain of Grotta
coast, 3 kilometres away from Naxos Town (or Hora).
Its main church is a beautiful construction dating back
to the 17th century.
