General Information:
The Trattoria da Susanna Pizzeria is one of the famous Italian restaurants in Naxos Island. Run by a middle aged woman called Susanna, this restaurant has over the years, become a very popular eatery. People come here for a welcome change from the traditional Greek and Mediterranean cuisine extensively served on the island. Great food and a fun atmosphere have brought people here year after year.
Located about 100 meters from the Protodikeiou square, it is very close to St. George’s beach. The restaurant is hard to miss and looks like a typical Pizzeria from the outside. Tables, covered with their trademark red colored checked sheets are well laid out and one can choose to be seated indoors or outdoors. It is a medium sized restaurant which is well covered with a wooden ceiling.
Food is what ultimately matters. Susanna offers great Italian food made with her own “special” recipes. One can start with their special in house starters such as amazing kaipirinia, Italian aperitivo or a sweet sangria which they claim only they can make! Main coarse has a menu which includes 35 varieties of pizzas along with pastas, crepes, meat plates and the list just goes on. Another special here is their beef fillet which is served with different sauces. The meal is incomplete without trying some of their wines and homemade desserts.
The restaurant is open 6:00 pm onwards. Talking of drinks, the restaurant offers a big collection of wines. Crowd here is full of tourists who are looking for a fun evening. All this, along with excellent service makes the whole experience of dining here very memorable.
