The Picasso in Plaka is a one of a kind Mexican restaurant on the beach. Although the items on the menu are very similar to its branch in the city, the atmosphere here is completely different!
It is wonderfully located overlooking the gorgeous Aegean sea. One can sip on refreshing drinks and munch on delicious Mexican snacks while viewing the gorgeous surroundings. The long stretch of sandy beach is perfect for a number of outdoor activities after which one can come and relax in this spacious café. The ambience is very relaxed and the interiors are pleasantly decorated. There is also a small area for kids to have some fun, making it an ideal family destination.
If you re a fan of chicken wings, tacos, burritos, jalapeno poppers and other Mexican delicacies this is one place you must visit. A joint like this is rare to find on Plaka beach and its success is attributed to its owners, Debbie Richards and Stratos Perakis for coming up with such a unique idea. It is run efficiently and the food is freshly made using traditional recipes. The portions are large and promise a fulfilling dining experience. The in house staff is very friendly and more than happy to assist you.
The bar offers a number of interesting cocktails along with delicious shakes, mocktails, juices and other refreshing drinks. Frozen Margaritas is a specialty and a local favorite here. The place is very popular and is pretty crowded during peak season time. One can enjoy an exotic cocktail in an amiable atmosphere here at Picasso’s. The prices, however, are slightly on the steeper side and an evening here does pinch the pocket!
There are a number of interesting restaurants on Plaka beach but the Picasso Mexican Restaurant stands out because it offers something different from the rest. Delicious food, great drinks and terrific atmosphere makes it a much visited joint.
