General Information:
One of the oldest bars on the island, Jam Bar is owned and run by Nick Sarris, a lyricist, guitar synthesizer and harp player, who also runs his own pro-recording studio and plays for the Rock & Blues Bands. Popularly referred to as the rock legend of Naxos, Nick has a PC & MAC computerized DJ set up with 1350 LPs and 4700 CDs.
The hardware set up comprises Technics, Tascam, Yamaha, Mackie and M-Audio, while the sophisticated software includes Steinberg, Alcatech, Win-Vista Pro and OSX-Leopard. There are two bars, one indoor and the other outdoor.
Wooden chairs and barstools with steel-wooden-marble tables on the sidewalk provide a casual ambience, while the living-room-style bar has a stone wall and a mirror line. The walls are decorated with classic paintings of famous artists, flags and insignia, statues and electric guitars and there are multicolored lights for the disco effect.
Jam Bar is located in the center of Chora and overlooks a garden on three sides, with a fountain under a luxuriant grapevine which offers a pretty view.
